After Stars forward Mike Ribeiro missed his chance as his multiple stick fakes resulted in his shot rebounding meekly off the right post, Getzlaf stuck a wrister inside the right pipe for the deciding goal.

Loui Eriksson provided the lone regulation score for the Stars, who have dropped five of six. Marty Turco stopped 23 shots but lost for the fourth time in five starts despite registering an assist.
Perry's power-play goal 5:37 into the contest was equalized by Eriksson's marker just after the midway point of the second period.
Perry had a potential winning goal late in the second negated, as his rebound shot from the right side of the crease crossed the goal line after Turco's dive dislodged the net.
"The way things are going, it goes without saying that there were some positives tonight," said Turco. "We are trying to make up ground and collect points, that's the bottom line."
Game Notes
Despite the loss, Dallas has won seven of the last 11 meetings, including five of eight a season ago...There were 22 penalties in the game, 12 to Anaheim...It was the first contest Dallas played without its captain, Brenden Morrow, who is expected to miss up to six months with a severe knee injury...The Ducks improved to 2-1 in shootouts this season, while the Stars fell to 0-2.
